Gleaners Soup Mix, Perfect Nutrition for little Liana

Gleaners Soup Mix, Perfect Nutrition for little Liana

4-year-old Liana lives in the Philippines.  Liana was born with hydrocephalus, fluid on her brain and medical help is difficult & costly to access.  Liana has a hard time swallowing.  Gleaners’ soup is the perfect consistency and we’ve been told it is one of the healthiest donations they could receive to give Liana the nourishment she needs.

(We apologize for the poor photo quality.  It is the only photo we have of Liana and we were sure you'd want to see it and be praying for her)

Soup for the poor in Mexico

Soup for the poor in Mexico

As staff I often get asked if I have ever personally distributed Gleaners soup anywhere.  While two of my kids have, I never have – until this past December.  Over Christmas break I had the privilege of taking our soup to a church in Mexico surrounded by poverty.  Pastor Miguel & his wife Paola love and serve the people there which often includes providing food along with the gospel message.  700 soup servings loaded with nutritious vegetables was a great gift!  Thank you volunteers & donors for making it possible.      ~ Malinda

The “Other” Ministry at FVG

The “Other” Ministry at FVG

We sometimes joke about coffee break being our “other” ministry but really it’s simple math with exponential results.  Try adding it up for yourself:

Meaningful work that makes a difference in the world

+

Positive environment where everyone who comes wants to be here and each person is appreciated

+

Encouragement, laughter, and care as friendships are formed

+

Coffee & goodies!
