Gleaners Soup Mix Packed in LuggageMaking a Difference, One Meal at a Time Since we regularly send out a million meals at a time, a bag of just 100 servings can seem small to us. But 100 servings to someone in need can make a big difference! |

Food Aid for Women with HIV in Thailand
Women in Thailand who have HIV are shunned by their communities and families. These women are considered stateless: they have no rights and are unable to work or obtain services. Seeds of Hope is there to love on these women, giving them support and providing necessities and basic care. Recently we were able to partner with Seeds of Hope when one of our volunteers went to Thailand and took some of our food aid in her luggage. To the women who received the food, it brought hope and showed them that God cares for them. |

Food Aid for Refugees of the Arabian Peninsula
FVG recently sent four bags of our vegetable soup mix with a partner who serves refugees in the Arabian Peninsula. Due to conflicts and war in the area, many refugees are poor and traumatized which makes it more difficult to find work. Our partner shared that "Most come with just the clothes on their back and need nutritious food." 400 servings of soup mix loaded with vegetables sent in luggage with our partner will make a difference for those who receive it. |

Food Aid for Honduras
In July we were able to send 2 cases of soup mix (24 bags = 2,400 servings) to Honduras. Our partner, The Genesis Project, took the food aid to try it out, in the hopes that they could later send a larger shipment. They used the soup alongside a gospel presentation for kids and adults. Some of the soup mix was sent to remote islands to be used in a school lunch program. The teachers were very blessed that aid would come out to them via the boats Genesis Project rented. Our partner is thrilled to use the Gleaners food aid as a way to build relationships to open doors for more ministry opportunities in the future. |

New Panwasher!
New Panwasher installed and working great! This replaces our large washing tank, providing greater cost efficiency and better sterilization of our trays. We appreciate our team of volunteers who have jumped in to learn the new system. |

Million Volunteer Hours Celebration
We had a ton of fun at our Million Volunteer Hours Celebration in July! It was a beautiful day for a pancake breakfast outside under tents visiting with old and new friends. Inside we had a Volunteer Photo Gallery and stations set up in the plant with a few fun surprises. Special thanks to Vic Martens, one of our founding board members, who opened the event with a few words and scripture. A Million Volunteer Hours! What a milestone! Thank you to all our past and present volunteers - you are the backbone of the FV Gleaners ministry! |

Expansion Update
We are happy to share that in September the City of Abbotsford Agricultural Advisory Committee voted unanimously to recommend that the City approve our ALC Non Farm Use Application! Next step: The planning department will incorporate this recommendation into their report to City Council. If the City approves, then our application will go to the Agricultural Land Commission for the final stage of approval.
We appreciate your prayers as we seek to expand to be able to feed more hungry people around the world.
