Every year we get more requests for food aid than we can fill. 

Have you ever heard of a BHAG?  It stands for Big Hairy Audacious Goal and FVGleaners has one!  As we consider the many food requests and God's call to feed the poor, the board and staff have set a BHAG.  Over the next five years, we aim to double our production reaching to 25 million meals a year. 

It's a big goal for sure but we have to try!

Read on to find out how God is leading the way for us to feed more people in Jesus' name.

Did you know we had record volunteer numbers last year?  And new volunteers are coming each week!  More volunteers means we can make more nutritious vegetable soup for hungry kids around the world!  But we have to make room for all the volunteers the Lord is bringing... What a wonderful problem to have!

With the Lord's help we are finding creative ways to create more trimming spaces for volunteers on the production floor as well as more parking spots and coffee break room. (Stay tuned for details!)

Along with volunteers, the Lord has also been providing us with new product donors which is a tremendous answer to prayer!

More people volunteering, preparing more product means we need to increase our dryer capacity with more racks!

Cost of 12 additional racks, trays to fill them, and teflon sheets to line the trays: $31,583

To keep up with the increases and everything that a production plant and volunteer ministry requires, we have hired another team member in the plant and increased our part-time admin staff another hour a day.  We are excited for the new possibilities this opens up for us - including more opportunities to volunteer!

Staff teams, schools, and seniors groups are invited to book an afternoon of volunteering with us!  Please contact the office by phone or email to book.

Having enough product and staffing makes it possible for us to be open on Saturdays year round!  8:30am-noon

Groups of 5 or more, please book ahead.  Individuals are welcome to come without booking, same as during the week. 

We will be closed stat long weekends and Saturdays during the month of December.  April 25th, 2026 will not be a production day as we have our AGM and Bbq booked for that date.

Spring Cleaning at the Gleaners!  Saturday, March 7th 8:30am-noon.  Coffee will be on!

This is a mix of business meeting, FVG presentation, and fellowship time together over lunch.  Come and hear all the Lord is doing in and through FV Gleaners!

Saturday, July 25th 1-4pm Drop In

The production plant and shipping warehouse will be open for self-guided tours. 

Come see the displays, talk to some of our Distribution Partners, and enjoy ice cream together!

Items throughout the facility will show price tags - some of the various costs it takes to run our ministry.  You will have an opportunity to donate if you would like to give towards any of the items or upcoming projects.  There is no obligation to give and The Event is Free.
