Where your donations go.

While we receive produce donations and are largely run by volunteers, there are still operating expenses that need to be paid.  The cost of monthly utilities, running the dryers, salaries for 3.5 staff, and general maintenance and repairs are just some of the ongoing expenses.

Current Fundraising Projects include:

  • Small dryer upgrades (includes new burner & controls):  Total cost estimate: $200,000
  • New aluminum bucket stools to replace rotting wooden ones: $22,000
  • Minor roof repair: $5,000

Our operating costs are completely covered by the generous donations of our financial partners made up of individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors.  FVG does not receive any government funding at this time.  Detailed financial statements for 2022 are available upon request.
